The Story.
Theo seated outside his family’s caravan in Dorset. Theo has been a tinker for most of his life and has been making masks for the last seven years. His hands are huge and seem at odds with the detailed intricacy of his elaborate masks, which are made from combinations of road-kill, scrap and junk. The organic skins, fur bone and feathers he uses are mixed seamlessly with copper, stainless steel and brass into startling and much sought after masks and headpieces.
“For me manipulating base raw materials into objects that speak volumes for themselves holds both a deep fascination and an untold satisfaction. The achievement does not come without its trials, but the victory is all the more sweet because of it.”
